Hi, I'm John.
Back in the day, when I was a young'un, I built my parents their first company website using Macromedia Dreamweaver. At the time I didn't think anything of it - I was helping out my parents and it was fun. The story for most would continue on with a few more years at school, a computer science degree, and a career in website, or software, development.
I, however didn't take the traditional route and instead went off to St Andrews to study biology, which then led to law school, working as a chef, and eventually a job with an SEO agency in Edinburgh where my love for the web (particularly UX design and front end development) was rekindled.
After working on the analytics and information architecture of client sites, as well as setting up advertising campaigns in Google AdWords I decided that I wanted to help companies "join the dots" between design, structure, analytics and user experience. This led to a position with a small Glasgow based startup called Adimo as a CRO and Usability Manager.
The skills I have learned over the years (yes, even from being a chef and studying biology) allow me to act on the insights gained from analysis of analytics and qualitative data sets with a unique perspective.
